Sound Healing
Sound doesn't just reach the ears—it can influence how the body responds to stress.
Research on music and therapeutic sound suggests that calming auditory experiences may help reduce psychological stress and anxiety while supporting physiological relaxation. Studies have observed changes in heart rate, blood pressure and heart-rate variability—signals associated with the body's autonomic nervous system.
Research involving singing bowls has also shown promising effects on relaxation, anxiety and heart-rate variability, suggesting that sound may help encourage the body's shift away from a heightened stress response and toward a calmer, more restorative state.
